Corel Paint Shop Pro, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Fresco.

The Covid-19 pandemic marked the beginning of my digital art era. I was sent home from my job at IKEA because I belonged to a high-risk group. To avoid infection, I started creating digital compositions. I began working with images around 2006, initially using Corel PaintShop Pro, but fully transitioned to Photoshop in 2019.

Corel Paint Shop Pro vs. Adobe Photoshop
In my opinion, both are technically comparable. The big difference is the price:

• Corel PSP: under 1000 SEK
• Adobe Photoshop: 3735 SEK/year (as of 2025)

The other two programs (Illustrator and Fresco) are in a class of their own.
